My student broadcast on CTAF that we were departing with a departure to the northeast. By the time that we had advanced the throttle to full, the plane behind us, a Cessna 172, decided they were going to takeoff as well.

Did you see that?
My student saw the plane. I never saw it. My student estimates the plane was roughly 50 feet from us. I don’t believe the other plane ever saw us.
Intentional, flagrant, and dangerous
The ATC audio recordings clearly show that this violation of landing aircraft right of way was INTENTIONAL. It was dangerous for both aircraft.
Training flight cut short by Falcon
The Falcon pilot decided to disregard our radio calls and descend on top of us, getting as close as 200 feet above us, then cutting us off on our final.
Controller invents new ‘confounding’ procedure
The controller seemed to have invented a new and confounding, unpublished and unsafe procedure. This is a perfect example of normalization of deviance and if not addressed will result in another fatal midair.
Magnets cause complete AHRS failure
Hoping the FAA can inform the public of failures caused by speakers and other common magnets near vital components and computers in modern aircraft. Outcome would have been completely different if the situation would have occurred in IMC conditions.
New grass strip a hazard
The grass strip was put in place last year unannounced and is not NOTAM’d. It presents a hazard using parallel operations within feet of other aircraft, including solo students.
Pilot disregards the critical principle of see and avoid
The decision by the Cirrus SR20 pilot to proceed onto the runway without clear situational awareness posed a significant safety risk.
Near miss in the pattern at KUAO
Another aircraft suddenly crossed right in front of our flight path, coming low and from the left. It was incredibly close and fast. We had no time to react.
